Saltwater tank to freshwater

I found a decent deal on a 225 gallon saltwater tank 72" by 24". It's setup as of right now as a salt water tank.. According to the picture it looks like it has dual overflows... I want it but how hard is it to clean the tank? Also it would replace a 75 so how hard would it be to just use my 75 as a sump?

I'll include all the pics I have of it... Iv had no experience with sumps so any input would be great... If I did buy it I feel as though instead of cleaning the sump I could use my 75 I have now

Shouldn't be too hard to clean it up. A little scrubbing, might need to use some vinegar on any coraline algae, but I'd only bother where it's visible.

No, and it would dissolve in the water when you're cleaning it anyway.

Also dude said it weighed 350 empty so how many people would you think it would take to move it down a set of stairs? Thats my main concern is getting it in my room

At least 4, assuming you use straps so they can get a good grip.

Or you could rent a stair climber dolly and you'd only need two people. Most equipment hire places should have them.

What about converting a 75 to a sump? How hard would that be? I'd rather not have to add glass for chambers so would there be any other methods

I'd call it pretty easy, but that depends on how you want to design the sump. If you don't want to put any partitions in it then it's just going to be a big tank, you won't easily be able to use it for filtration, etc.

Maybe there's a site that sells glass to be able to convert aquariums to sumps? If not I'll use the sump that comes with it
