Columnaris?

So my little Ornate has an ulcer like lesion on his one side that I would typically identify as colmunaris in trout and sturgeon.
I have no plecos and the poor guy hasn't come out enough for me too notice till now.
What do you guys think? Best form of treatment? I salted the tank and turned the temperature down for now.
I would use formalin, but I don't really have access to that right now.

Suggestions?

Agree with tlindsey . Clean water and should be better soon. Plecos in the tank?

I personally don't think it looks like Columnaris.. I've have many bouts and none of it appeared like what you have. There's always a first though. Have you tried a water change and salt (if the polys are ok with salt)?

I'd have to agree as well does not appear to look like Columnaris.

Looks like bichir worm patches to me. Here's photos of mine from years back. Praziquantel cleared it up.
