I think im understanding it a little better. I think i was over complicating it. For some reason i thought float switches were involved which in my mind would have been a point of failure.I am soooo glad you didn't get rid of them. I think the tank looks great (all though it always does).
I know you lightened the load a bit, got rid of a tank, and are currently working on a drip system....how's that stuff going?
love the picture of the crew.Kong is quite photogenic.
word. me too! I would have been devastated. Everybody looks great. Glad the kids and wife were on board with keeping them.I am soooo glad you didn't get rid of them. I think the tank looks great (all though it always does).

Your gonna love the full siphon. It still amazes me how much water it moves even though its barely opened.I haven't installed it yet. I'm debating it. The "sump" expands a bit when it gets water put into it, the more water the more it expands. So that makes it hard to have a certain level where water starts to exit. I am talking to someone now with a 100g Rubber maid that I might trade one of my 300g Rubber maids for. 300 is way to big, if the wife saw that set up she'd probably shoot me.lol So for now I'm in a holding pattern. I'm currently at 9 days since my last w/c and I'm still around 20ppm nitrate so I think going 2 days in between feedings and all the plants has struck a bit of a balance. I'm only late on w/c because of work and holidays. But it was a good point that a couple days late and nothing is going haywire. W/c scheduled for today and I'm going to finish the over the back return to be able to set up for the full syphon switch over. Durso is to loud, It's bugging me.

Yeah I can't help you on that. I will have that same possibility of the same failures. The drip thing I got came "highly" (LOL ) recommended. The pressure regulator is built in. 8 emitters each dripping .75 gal/hr, cap off the ones you aren't going to need. Pretty good for $16. I'm thinking I'll hook it up with a valve to adjust pressure just so it gets what it needs to put out .75/emitter. I'm probably only going to need 2 or 3 anyway so if it fails it doesn't go ballistic, still won't be ideal but hopefully not catastrophic either.Your gonna love the full siphon. It still amazes me how much water it moves even though its barely opened.
Yeah im weary of the drip only because we dont have drainage we're on septic so i would have ro run the drains to the sump pit. What f the sump pump fails ? Or what if the drain pipe going out to the swales freezes up...ugh just thinking about it my water filtration system dumps 20 pr so gal a day in that same pipe that im worried about freezing ...uh oh
