I recently set up a freshwater tank - is having a red tail shark, a black ghost knife fish, a male fighter and four guppies a good mix? is there any problems with this mix?

Guppies May get nipped on or eaten by the bgk if too big. The red tail shark can be slight territorial but should work out.

It’ll end up with just the BGK and RTS. BGK get to a decent size, with that list sounds like a small tank that won’t fit it for long.

yeah the bgk will be quite cramped in there. they need long tanks (6'+) with a big log or rock to hide under.

the rest of the fish should be fine though.

hes only about 4/5’ do they stop growing?

No but growth is slow.

no ive seen many over a foot. i think they get up to 2 ft but ive never seen one that big.

It’d be fine for the guppies and I assume Beta, the shark and knife are far too big for 15g.

They can get certainly get over a foot. Need some years and good space. Here’s J Josh 's Fish’s bgk at 18in.
