Thats b.s. to man. I always make sure to go out and around and slow down to make sure everything is safe. As the driver of the vehical i am in no harms way of anything happens.

You need a go pro so you can catch some plate numbers
True. It only happened twice, and once (the time that earned me a scar),I think it could have the guy pulling over to adjust his phone without looking. If I'd slammed my bike into the tailgate of his brand new 4runner, I wouldn't've sprained my left wrist and cut up my left hand badly enough that I had to ride home without using it. I would've put the guy out $2k in bodywork, and he would've deserved it.
Yeah, I need a gopro.
I've been hit by a car once, too, crossing the street with the light in a crosswalk, and some girl decided to pull out while texting someone, and landed me on her hood, luckily without even getting bruised. IMO a good portion of traffic accidents come because people just don't care enough to drive properly.

As a cyclist, I can tell you the car drivers are just as bad. Twice I've had lovely people pull into the shoulder to drive me off the road just for kicks. Once I barely controlled myself from deliberately ramming an SUV that did that. I have a scar on my hand from flipping my bike on the curb trying to avoid that guy.
I never understood that b.s. when i used to ride (motorcycle) i would experience the same thing. Im super cautious around both cyclists and motorcyclists

I was hit by a car on my bike when I was 11 or so, compound break of the left leg and bike peg ripped out my Achilles tendon. My fault, riding on the side walk on the wrong side of the road and jumped the corner curb to cross the road right into a pinto making a right turn. I changed my riding style after that. as in do not F with the cars, you aint going to win.
I was almost hit by a car as a kid and it didn' help that it was one of our family friends. Scared the crap out of me and I got one heck of an ear full when I got home. Never did it again

That is exactly why I don' ride a street bike. Where I live you I can damn near ride a dirt bike where ever I want with no trouble.
I stopped when i got married and started talkin about kids. Riding in nyc is a deathwish

Speaking of off road vehicles I hate when trespassers on atvs trash private land, I mean I never did that stuff and that's a good way to get shot, remember there's always plenty of room for trespassers underground lol!

That is a problem in some areas here too.The ATV riders tear through public parks and leave wide and deep tire track marks in the grass, making a big mess....and that's when they are not wrongfully driving them through the streets. They want the police to try to chase them.
