Stocking concerns with 265 gallon setup

i will be buying a 265 gallon tank along with a 55 gallon DIY sump filter. My question will be with stocking the 265 display tank.
My absolute must have fish is a fire eel
I was thinking for tank mates on doing

1x tiger Oscar
1x gold saum
2x red sevrum
8x silver dollars

Any issues you think I might run into?
Also I know to get the eel first as it takes the longes to grow and I don’t want him getting eaten by one of the others.

only one that stands out to me is that if you happen to get a m/f pair of severums they get pretty vicious when they go into breeding mode. you do have a larger tank which is good but i could see a big severum maiming your eel perhaps.

that and i would get the cichlids all about the same size. a big gt will easily kill a smaller oscar or severum.

all in all sounds like a good plan though.

honestly youve got a bigger tank than ive ever had so the aggression may not factor in as much. but ive had my eye on chocolate cichlids for awhile and seen some great examples of large sa communities featuring them, severums, oscars.

Chocolate cichlids have a similar body type to oscars, and they can be severely territorial to one another to the point that one seeks the other one out in order to destroy it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Even if they're not a "Pair", two of the same gender frequently pair up in my experience. My two males have been trying to breed for what seems like the last 6 months at least. They've been fighting a bit lately so I'm hoping they'll eventually break up. This is probably the third pair I've had over the years do it. Maybe it's my water that contributes to all the *** fish...

They don't do any damage to the other fish though, just chase them away from their area. In my tank they only take over a 2 foot section.

Personally. Think that stocking will be just fine for a 265.

yes we've talked about our *** severums before i believe. i have two females that take turns laying eggs and guarding them.

to be clear, i wasnt really objecting to the idea of two severums with other fish in a 265....i keep two in a 95. op asked for "concerns" and my primary concern was for the eel. severums can be downright murderous when they have fry.

but just to reiterate:
