With the new light a 2 of them look to have blue adipose fins. Not sure ill try and get better pics today. C Chicxulub a little of help.

Those fish all look like skinny, young, freshly, imported VATF to me. I don't see anything particularly unusual about them. Get them on a quality diet, put them over a dark substrate and put a black backing on that tank and they'll be stunners in a month.

Then, a few months after that, they'll have killed each other and you'll only have one. Sell the ones you don't want now and get your money back.

ATF stop schooling by the time they're about 2" long. Those feeding vids that we all see on Nat Geo and the like with the huge schools of ATF are feeding frenzies of vittatus in the Okavango during the annual flood, which triggers spawing for many species of fish, which get the catfish concentrated, who then in turn get eaten by the schools of VATF. That isn't normal behavior.

Would've been nice to know... lol all the times I might've mislead people

I know the first thing everyone says is that the tank is too small.. but the 225 is definitely too small... I have a BATF and a goliath at about 16" together in a 300 and they are just too fast .. I'm actually thinking of selling both of them because watching them fight and/or bang into tank walls or the lid is giving me major anxiety.. I can also tell you first hand what these guys tell you is true .. the brevis picks on the goliath non stop it's just getting old

Thanks. I am trying my hand at it. Glws. Looks like you made it pretty successul for a few years. I'l remove as.i see fit as your are.

How's this for luck I through in some hikari floating sticks and the smallest VATF started attacking them, threw in some carnivore and they all started to it eat. Will only feed only pellets for the next week to hopefully train the GATF.
