Hi everyone. New guy here.
9ne of the things that drew me to the site (besides a lot of good info from knowledgable people with informative experiences and posts) was all the great pics. My favorites are the vast multitudes and possibilities in the pleco world.
Plecos are so misunderstood by the general public, especially those just getting into the hobby.
I wanted to share a couple pics of one of my favorites that I have. It's the largest queen arabesque I have seen, and one of the few I have seen in my area.
Enjoy!20180216_182344.jpg 20180216_182525.jpg 20180216_182344.jpg 20180216_182525.jpg 20180216_182323.jpg

Welcome to MFK. Beautiful specimen you have there.
You are very correct that the general public misunderstands plecos.
I'm glad to see more people taking an interest in plecos. There's so many beautiful species to choose from and more being discovered.

Cool, Big-G! How big when you got it? I traded a leaking 50 gal and weathered stand yesterday for a 2.5" king tiger! I figured a queen deserves a king....

So, stuby seems to think this fish may be an L-400 or L-470. I told him I would take some (hopefully) helpful pics tonight to see if anyone including Chuck might have an "ah-ha!" moment.
And, just to be clear, I care nothing for the number or proper ID for no other reason than personal curiosity. This fish could be called the reticulated turd herder and I would love it just the same.
Forgive my pics; I'm no Ansel Adam's or Marty Stouffer....

Beautiful fish and your pictures are great, what camera are you using if I may ask?
This fish appears to be a slightly more elongated body shape than L260's do.... L260's are a fairly stubby fish. L470, L399, L66 all have a fairly thinner body shape like Josh's fish has. In my eyes anyways. Here are a couple pictures of my L260'sDSC00371.JPG DSC00388.JPG
