his fins are turning blue and he's getting pearling between his ocellated blotches I'd say at 12-14" is when they start to really pop

Looks good. Mine still have the juvenile coloration. The three vertical black ljnes

I've struggled with patience of smaller ones lol I try and feed them as much as they will eat about 2-3x a day then I'll do 25% waterchanges every other day keeping the tank at 86-88 trying to grow them fast to about 7-8" then I'll just feed twice a day in temps 82-84

My larger broko does have black dorsal spikes @12” smaller one does not.
