My God that is gorgeous. All of my polys started out as babies, as I enjoy growing them out quite a bit. Sadly I don't think I've ever seen one of these laps that small.
Are the Faranah typically wc only?
So theres confusion as to what this poly is. Most of us think it's an sp.faranah while others think it's an oddly colored faranah lap. Too many little details to describe and explain lol but yes I do agree she is gorgeous. Thank you
I agree growing them from small sizes rewarding and more enjoyable. Size is relative though. I consider anything under 10 inches small/baby.
You can find smaller wc fish just depends on the type and your source. Where are you from ?
Learning the catch locations is the most interesting part of bichir keeping. Sometimes the differences between species from different areas is minimal other times its blatant and easy to see
I live just north of Milwaukee, WI
I don't trust any of the area LFS to order in specific types of bichir so I only buy when the stores order them in for stock.
I hear names of people to order bichir from, but don't understand what websites they operate off of...
Call monster aquarium in NY, they have some nice WC bichirs, if you want more reputable and will tell you the catch location you have to contact toyin, but it will be a challenge.
