I recently bought some fish including a silver arowana (and an Oscar and clown knifefish) and I have found out what to feed the other fish but I haven't got my arowana to eat. I know they feed on the water surface and I am going to get some crickets to feed him on Friday. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to feed him until then or any other ideas for food?

Welcome aboard

Floating food sticks my personal choice is Hikari brand. Also freeze dried krill may be offered.

When really young they can be a pain to get off from live crickets IME. Another thing to consider is your oscars growth rate if they are similar size and housed together. Theres a good chance the oscar with grow faster, to the point that he could see your aro as a snack at some point. Just something to be aware of.

I also recommend getting him on a quality pellet. Train him while he's young and you won't regret it. I have a Jardini that I only fed crickets and worms when he was young. Now, he's about 12-13" and he refuses to eat pellets and I've tried everything. It's a pain in the ass to deal with
