This ID thread on allegedly the same Papua catfish as yours are would be of interest to you. If your and Ben Amiidae's cats are the same, Dr. Heok Hee Ng says they are not what you thought / stated. Not even the same genus: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=46258#p311789

They are Sciades (or Neoarius, depending on who you choose to follow) leptaspis.
Yes I read Ben's new post. I was told mine were Comb spined catfish from Papua from my supplier.. he has been on point so far with ID. I've compared what is available on the internet that I could find and still can't say for sure which is which...but I'm no expert.

Moved the platinum niger from the home tank to the office... not much growth the past year
I’ve been known to have insane growth on my catfish, you know, if you want someone to grow it out for you just saying haha ;)

Are you sure of the ID? The snout, for one thing, catches my eye. It looks funny. Of course genetical mutations tend to occur in bunches, not singles.
