Get a large pleco perhaps?.....and in turn my fish would likely eat any fish that might eat the fuzz.
It usually doesn't last long. You can always presoak it in a larger tank till the fungus stage is passed, then scrub it and add to another tankGet a large pleco perhaps?
Nah,then I'll have to deal with that poop overload. It's probably sacrilegious in this thread but I have some large artificial pieces that look realistic enough when I want to use them.Get a large pleco perhaps?
Haha last long. The pieces that the stuff showed up on have been in my possession for years and that stuff didn't appear until only a few years ago.I would remove, scrub and dry out the wood and that crap would still reappear after placing the wood back into the tank.I realize that it is harmless and all but I just don't like the looks of it.It usually doesn't last long. I live beside lake ontario, know what to look for? I got some ash tree sticks which are hardwood, know anything bout them?
I've always liked large pieces, in the 4ft length range, but with those it is often a problem to water log enough to keep submerged.
I often had to soak them in my rain barrels for an entire season before using, but they were also the same barrels where gammarus shrimp were raised, so after a season of soaking colonies of the shrimp ended up as food in the tank.
Those are pieces were often collected from the shores of Lake michigan, and could harbor parasites, so the year long soak, and freeze of winter helped purge the wood of harmful pests.
See above post, soak the ashwood pieces in a tub for a bit and remove any bark, before placing in tankI live beside lake ontario, know what to look for? I got some ash tree sticks which are hardwood, know anything bout them?
