Will do

I went by a fish store i've only been by once before randomly last night. They had moved to a new location. Found a small ropefish for 10 bucks and a 4 line pictus for 8. I knew i was leaning towards a hoplo or raphael but this one was sitting here looking at me in a group of spotted pictus. Couldn't pass him up. We'll see how he does with the bichirs. Right now he's pretty spastic

Flint town!
Pictus do better in groups. 3 to 5. They dont get overly big and id think will do ok with your group. Id say go get 2 more that shouldn't be too much of a strain on the system. They'll keep the bottom clean of left overs thats for sure.

Sevs - what state are u from? Polli are hard to find cuz they're mostly wild caught. It's not a desired bichir as well. There are captive bred ones out in the market. Which is produced in Asia, but often mislabeled as Palmas.

Key note: Your LFS is at the mercy of what their wholesaler has in stock. If Seagresst Farms is one of them. There is a shot. Check Seagrests' website. I was in the hunt for Afrowana years ago and asked all my lfs if they buy from seagrest. Once i found one, i had them order 5 pieces. :--)

Four line pictus (according to planetcatfish and others on this thread) do not depend on others in their species like the typical spotted pictus do. At least that is what i've been told and what i could find in my research

I'm in TN. Very few quality LFS around here and I've asked the ones that are decent to keep an eye out for me. But they all say the same thing. None available. I've got a few online vendors looking for me too. No one can find them. Seagrest only tells me what they've had in the past...not what they currently have. I think you need an account with them to do that
