Hi GUYS!

So 90lbs of sand, a bunch of hose and hose clamps, tubes of silicone, and 3 new bulkheads later... supposedly my tank can work, and SUPPOSEDLY with cycled media..... hmmm so what do i do??? I GO SPEND $83 ON THE FIRST BATCH OF FISH!

yep.. I have finally started the stocking of my 120 dual overflow 30 gal sump!!!

So i have had these FISH in mind the moemnt i planned to go SOUTH AMERICAN, so far in the tank:

9 Columbine tetras
6 Bronze Cory
2 Geophagas surnimesis (Redstriped earth eater)
1 Black Ghost Knife

Columbian Tetras:
So they were pretty shook by the ride, you can see some variation in sizes but its totally cool with them, got them 1 for $3, or 3 for $8, took them awhile but after putting in some BAY LEAVES they got more settled in, now about 18H later they are showing some shiny Silver and Red colors, they seem pretty hyper SCHOOLING, SPLIT UP, SCHOOLING, SPLIT UP, SCHOOLING, SPLIT UP AND PRETEND TO BE A CORY CATFISH :D They are very curious for tetras, I LOVE THEM! [NEED NAMES]

Bronze CoryCats:
Well i want to start by saying of all corys, Bronze corys and awesome looking, even if ppl say sterbais are better or adoflz or Pandas, I love My bronze corys. One ended up as a long finned one some how... They are so cute looking with some decent variations in size.. they SHOAL, SOMEONE SPLITS AWAY, then SHOAL, THEM GO SCHOOLING AT THE TOP WITH ALL THE TETRAS!!! [NEED NAMES]

Earth Eater:
So what can I say, these are one of the most stunning looking fishes I have ever kept, iridescent stripes, spotted tail and red fins, and those eyes with the black stripes. I am very surprised they were only $9 each... they have the "Y" stripe near the head i believe. TO match that beauty they have some darn PERSONALITY that blows me aaway for a fish, of course they chew earth, but I saw one dive bomb the ground and drag its self for a split second, the 2 also line up FACE TO TAIL and fight (BUT NEVER TEAR ANYTHING?) they always chilling with each other and love to come and inspect ME, CAMERA, KNIFE, and sometimes are so curious of the CORYS AND TETRA they SHOAL with the corys and sometimes even SCHOOL WITH TETRAS... i was like WHAT???? [ NEED NAMES]

BLACK GHOST KNIFE:
I love his colours, and his cool swimming formation... only thing is he is nocturnal of course and dosent come out much during the day... anyone know how to train them to be day walkers? His tail wiggles alot, looks so much like something i would put on my fishing rod that the tetras love it but never ever bite. {NAME: THOR}

SOONER OR LATER TO BE ADDED:
UARU
PICTUS CATS
VAMPIRE SHRIMP
KEHOLES

Probably going to further setup my account rightnow

BTW IT is cloudy due to the fish removing any dust i didint get, but most to almost all is gone, LIGHTING IS A TUBE LIGHT :(
I have some pics down below... dont notice anything in reflections and bad camera work

I can't tell just by looking at that cloudy water that your tank still may not be cycled .. be careful and check levels. Does the water smell like anything?? because you could be dealing with bacteria die off. Even with seeded media sometimes an instant/fast cycle may not happen..

Cool, I'll be watching this thread, sounds like you need a topwater species tho.

The black knife may come out more with time, having pieces of driftwood near the front willl likely let you see him more

South American needlefish come to mind, but they'd eat tetras or cories, how about some Central American livebearers?
