I'm no ID expert on cats... this is a better video.. what do you think it is?
I quickly scanned through the entire family -- https://www.planetcatfish.com/common/family.php?family_id=12 -- and no Doradidae, nor Doras, nor Hassar nor others seem to have the long and unresolved adipose as the Oxydoras do. The head profile and barbel structure of this young fish resembles that in the picture of the adult Oxydoras kneri but I'd not make much out of it.

I think it is an Oxydoras.

I love it!!! What a bad ass-mofo!!!
Other than an indecisive bite on the bag, I have not noticed much attitude?

I saw 3 bites... this is a freshly caught wild fish. I'm sure if this tank was 'it's' home the cat would attack the bag with vigor

Another attempt at keeping filas from Suriname... imported 4x of them the other day.. here is a 2ft one. The other 3 are in a 2000 gallon tub.. all around the same size.
Are you saying you lost your first pair of Suriname piraibas?? Mine has been a moody feeder but still around. It's 3' now.

How big are your pair of Peru piraibas? I think I saw one in this video at roughly 2'. No? Mine have been in an unfavorable community (boisterous and competitive) for a year and are still around 1.5'.

What does your luteus eat?? Give me some good details on this one, please.
