dream tanks

I know theres some special centrifuge technique that that one guy uses to make those huge 8m lenses for telescopes. I would have to look it up again to get all the details, but maybe he could make it lol.

Are you familiar with the zeroedge aquariums? With proper lighting they just look like a cube of water sitting there defying physics. I imagine they could make one with low iron glass but i think the acrylic is much easier to engineer and work with. Id love to hear from someone who actually has one to hear how well they work.

never heard of them but I'm in love.... as soon as I win the lottery I know what I'm buying first

Greenhouse with a Japanese garden set up. Koi pond that meanders with a waterfall and bridge, and a small sitting area for tea.
I like that idea, if you do that. 'Make to tea area on a little island that has to be reached by stepping stones (there was a nice pond posted yesterday on the mfk Facebook page, it had good quality koi, fw rays and a turtle)

I would like a 8 feet long, 6 feet tall and 3 feet deep tank (star fire glass) tank with dual overflows and returns. That drains into a 125 gallon sump. Of course the tank would be fitted into the wall and the sump would be in another room and silent when viewing the tank. For lighting I would have full length full spectrum led lighting. The setup would be an overstocked predator haps setup. We can dream right!

The biggest issue is the viewing panel 8ft x 6ft x 2in and 4500-5000lb. Then the total weight would be nearly 16000lb, full of water. My guess is that the simplest and cheapest way to do this would be to add a whole new room to your house, bringing in the panel while you are building it.
Also, I'm curious - what would you keep such a strange shaped tank?
The shape would be very impressive- a wall of water, but it would be hard to stock a tank that is so deep yet so narrow.

Yeah it’s totally unrealistic I know. I have no idea what I would put into that monster size tank. I guess anything I wanted. . That would be a nice problem to have though. What would you do?

Dunno. Maybe a Tang tank - cyps on top, like 100 of them, brichardi and/or tropheous/petrochromis in the middle, and a nice julie/neolamp mix on bottom. Or maybe giant gouramiis, polies and a lei aro I love GGs. Or maybe a smaller pbass and poly tank. Maybe a Picasso trigger community. Or you could try growing kelp. Thing is you can't keep silver or black aros, or RTC or pacu, you've gotta stick to the small stuff,
