My sump is actually in the basement. It's set up as two separate herbies. There are four lines running into the sump. If you teed drains together you'd be cutting their capacity in half. Here are a couple pics of my current setup. Btw...gate valves are your friend. They make it much easier to fine tune things vs a ball valve.

Nice! For some reason I have to adjust mine about once a week. I also have my sump in the basement. I think it may be my pump is fluctuating/ not holding steady. Ive got another pump and another tank going next to my 180. Once thats set up the new pump and new sump will be up and running hopefully no more adjusting.

A or B or something else ?
Either way but I'd do all mech on 1 side and put return pump on the other and all bio in between. As for pump figure out your head and get a pump that will put out 1200gph at the tank. Or get an adjustable pump if your sump isnt in the basement.

It's just the distance from your pump out put to where the water come out in the tank. Look up head loss calculator. It will ask vertical pipe lengths, horizontal pipe length, 90s, 45s, unions so on. Then you can look on the pump packaging or online and see which pump is best for you. Just remember each of your emergency drains is good for 600gph so you dont want more the that x2 so 1200gph is your max.

Any thoughts on this stock for a 180g 72x24x24

7 Geophagus Tapajos
2 Severums
1 EBA
8 Congo Tetra
6 Bosemani rainbows
6 Yoyo Loaches

wanted to shut down my 90g and 125g and move that stock into the 180g? Thoughts?

75g Sump which is better? 48"x18"x21" or 60"x14"x20" ? Pump is approximately 7"x3"x5" (LxWxH)

No. You can use whatever floats your boat really. Just the added length doesn't really help you where the extra width makes it easier to get in and out of the sump. I would probably never use a 90 either because its to tall.
