Flint town!
Do you think smaller wide bodied tetras would work in a UJ tank (excluding the big 3)? Something like diamonds or lemons?
Ive got 1 blackskirt left of 6 not sure who but I think it was the dels. Maybe ctenopoma? Roselines would be good and plant safe. Congos would be good. Maybe diamonds or bleeding hearts...?

My Congos were fine with my polys, and clm08k clm08k has them now. I was able to get larger ones to start, which helped, and none of my polys were fish killers. You could also try white tipped tetras (Hyphessobrycon bentosi) which I had for a while before my single Cteno started chasing them - he was a bit of a jerk to them fore some reason as a solo Cteno. I think with you having a few of them together it'd be less likely for them to care about other fish that were too large to be eaten. I don't think mine was the 'norm' in that regard.

I'd stick with 3-4 ctenos in a 90 gallon, personally. And I like the schooler idea as they are often the only ones adding regular activity to the tank.

If you want both Sen and Albino Sen, I'd do one of each of those, a Del (the looker) and a Polli (active and personable like the Sens).

If you wanted more of a different looking poly in there that might be less active / more of a hider but cool, you could do Moke or Palmas Palmas. My own opinion is that the Buettikoferis don't look all that different than a Polli and they tend to hide, while Pollis are more in your face. If you go for a hider, go for a pretty one. ;)

Just my 2 cents.

I just looked and Wet Spot has WC Dels as well as Moke, Palmas, and Sens (and more...) They don't always have that big of a poly variety.

If you go that route, you might ask for a photo of the Pollis as they have mislabeled them as Palmas before.

Well if that worked nicely for you I might go and try that aswell, Having a few fish that are kinda out all the time wouldn't be too bad ;) Would you go for the proposed 6 congos tetras? Or did you mean either ctenos or congos?
I think I might probably go with one of each sens and then get a delhezi and either moke or polli. Or maybe I might switch the moke/polli for a buettikoferi just because it's named after a swiss guy (gotta keep the national pride high hahaha).

And well thanks for checking Wet Spot but I think they won't ship to switzerland and even if they do so, that would cost me an arm and a leg... I'll see what I can find over here

Oops, sorry didn't look to see you were in Switzerland. I want to go there some day, it looks absolutely stunning.

I 100% agree with twentyleagues twentyleagues once again - 3 ctenos, 4-5 polys(Sen, albino Sen, Del, Moke/Polli), 6 male congos. If you feed every other day I'm betting a 75% 1x/wk water change will do it.

Will you do any live plants?

Thanks for your and twentyleagues twentyleagues s idea on stocking my tank. I think I'll go with the following for now:
- 1 normal sen
- 1 albino sen
- 1 delhezi
- 1 moke (my girlfriend loves this one so it's this instead of a polli)
- for now all 4 ctenos I currently have, 2 are nearly fully grown and 2 are approx. 4-5 cm long.
I might end up giving one of them away later and get the congo tetras instead but I think I'll wait with the tetras for now and see if the polys and ctenos are active enough already... I think the ctenos and polys do best anyways when fed every other day and if that would make 1 water change per week sufficient that would be great.

And yeah I'l go with live plants, not a fan of the plastic ones at all (no offense to anyone using them tho haha ;) ) I have all my tanks running with live plants, they do help to use the nitrates pretty well. I am already using frogbite and some other surface swimming plant that I don't recall the name of and they keep nitrates really low, I just end up throwing half of them out every 3 months or so to free up some space again... And apart from that some anubias and probably some fast growing stuff like some sort of valisneria or something like that to give them some additional hiding places.

Cool, that's why I asked re: plants - that will help with stocking levels too. I think you'll be able to do the Congos no problem but I respect your decision to start small, most don't. :)

Please post a proper thread when you get the Polys and Ctenos moved in!

Yeah I think they'll work without any issues but I'm not in a hurry so as you'll said, I'll start small. Getting additional fish is easy while rehoming is always a hassle... But I'll surely post an update, might take till end of september because I'd like to rescape my tank and need to find time for that first.
