Hello; A day that seems to have turned out better than I had hoped. I have two very old push lawn mowers. Both the same with Briggs Quantum engines. The old style with big rear wheels and an actual throttle. May be around 20 years old. I was thinking one of the mowers had reached it's end. Been down on power all summer and finally just would not run. I had tried al the normal stuff I do to keep them running.
So I took the engine down further than ever before. Found two things. One being the head bolts had loosened up some and it was losing some compression. That likely was why it was down on power. It also allowed some blow-by onto one of the head bolts which built up some carbon and corrosion on the threads. That head bolt broke off leaving an inch or so in the cylinder.
The other thing was that the intake valve seat had worked lose and was no longer seated. The valve was blocked open so it had no compression at all. Thought all was lost for a bit. After a good look I determined no real damage. So I decided to try to fix it.

I drilled out the broken head bolt without ruining the block. Took some time but I did OK. Been a while since I have done that.
I seated the valve guide by peening all around it with a hammer and a pointed punch. That moves the softer block metal. I hope it made it tight enough to hold.
Anyway I put it back together today and the darn thing started up and ran. Do not have any notion if it will last. I should have at least one more mow this season and may find out.

So for the rest of the day I plan to watch the replay of the TN vs. Auburn which is on right now. I think TN won which I did not expect.
After that I will watch the two hour Power Nation TV shows I recorded this morning. Pretty good shows if you like working on car. Katie Osborne who introduces the shows also does a good job.

Not bad for a dreary rainy and cool day. The rumors I think are true in that winter is coming.

Really?....then perhaps something a little more modern is in order.

Cortez is a democratic socialist meaning that she believes that if the people truly want socialism they will vote for it in a democracy and that in the ideal society Unions and/or the employees would own a portion of the company they work at not the State. Whoever created this has a very poor understanding of Political Philosophies.

They seem to have a couple of lines of thought. One is that if some how other folks do have wealth saved up that then the S-folks somehow deserve a portion of that wealth. I guess just because they want it for some stuff of their own desires.

Another notion is that this "imagined pile of wealth" does actually exist and they must feel it is so enormous that it will never run out. There have been a couple of countries that had something approaching such an amount of wealth. (The wealth was not unlimited of course) One was a South American country which had a lot of oil reserves. Best as I can tell they took the socialism path. I will not get into all that but as of the last few years that path has not worked out.

This would get a F in a political science class. Socialism is the belief that the community should own and regulate the means of production, distribution, and exchange. So where does that fit into your fanciful notations?

He brings up some great points though he can be hard to listen to at times.

I don't know...perhaps he's speaking on what he's seen with his own eyes.
"Prhaps" you should reflect on the fact that these settlements are illegal according to the UN and ICJ. And the fact that you're agreeing with a highly racist view. Switch Arab and Israelis and you'd be crying racism.

Hello; Beware the bot drawing us into a forbidden area.

Interesting how you weren't saying that for K krichardson 's post. In fact, you made your own post in response.

I guess the point I am trying to make is when I was a young child I made out a Christmas wish list. I grew up some and before I was ten years old I knew there is not a real santa. I stopped wishing for things. I did not tell my little sister and brother what I knew right away. It was still fun to see them on Christmas day for a few years. They grew up also. Maybe today some folks do not have to grow up???

I prefer that those who keep keeping on get banned but it will not be my call.
Well, this didn't age well.
