You need to get your hands on a bigger tank right away. This fish will grow massive and can gain 100cm eventually. You will need a tank of at least 6-800 gallons for this fish. As i said nothing personal on you but you woll have to listen to what people here tells you to do to get this fish to survive.
Yea will get one at the earliest, as I said after the water changes and other steps which I followed as you guys suggested, the fish was so active and eating properly, again in 13 days of time it has become lethargic and started showing all irregular symptoms.

These 13 days did you feed heavy every day? If so you need to repeat this procedure again with constans WC and minimal food. Your filter doesnt keep up with the waste produced by this type of fish. And with the worms in the tank that points on something is decaying in the tank. Empy the tank of all decorations and substrate you have in it and keep it barebottom to see if the fish eats all the food.

My fish denies the food, hasnt eaten for the past 3 days.

I have been feeding dried prawns and superworms for the 13 days and normally will scoop out left out waste.

I have removed 90 percent of sand from the bottom only traces left, also while cleaning the filter removed few old polyfill kind of sponge and placed new sponges.

There must be something wrong with you water paramiters then. Why you use RO water? I use tapwater for my tanks no added chemicals and keeping rays in my growout tank without problems. Feeding heavy every day and changing water every third day about 50% but then im running one fluval fx6 one eheim 2260 filled with bioballs and one tricklefilter with 70L of biomedia plus one fluidised bottlefilter. As stated before you need a bigger tank right away. And fill it up as much as you can right now. Lower the temp of ghe water to around 25-26c dont know what that is in °f? That would slow down ghe metabolism of the fish and keep doing wc everyday. You dont want to have ammonia at all in the tank. It should always be 0

My tap water has salt content in it since it is underground water , the tds is high in it, not consumable by humans, so I don't think it can be used for fish as well, so I am using ro water.

Ahh then i understand why you use ro water. Can you post some pics on your fish or even better a video of its behavior? And post some pics of the tank and its filtration

As you can see in the video, it prefers to stay at the top with nose almos outside the water surface and acts like swimming properly when it sees someone.

Using 2 eheim 2217filters and have added a sponge filter recently.

Its behavior except for its heavy breathing is fully normal. It should always be in the topwater column and cruising around. But it shure looks cramped in that tank. Fill the water up as high as you can and change water everyday until you get a bigger tank with proper filtration. Feed lightly every third day starting from today. Change 40% water minimum everyday and you might be able to fix this situation. Nobody here means to be evil or rude against you but please for your fish best fix a bigger tank right away and fix the filtration as quick as the tank.
