Dovii wolf cichlid male or female???

Females still get huge and some are prettiest tbh, I'm not a fan of humps on dovii so I prefer females alot of the time. Any fish can be aggressive male of female, comes down to the individual.

I hope your right mate. I've always wanted a big male dovii and the timing worked out well for me to grow one out with the re-stocking of my 240 gallon.

Hi all I thought I'd do an update on my dovii it's been 6 months now. It was apparently 2 months old when It. its between 16cm-18cms and it's extremely aggressive with very nice colours pictures don't do it justice. Im guessing it's a boy by the dots covering it's body.

Well my Dovii arrived today and it’s in quarantine at the moment with my convict. I’m thinking I may want one more. My convict is bullying him around the hospital tank lol. They’re both 3-4”

Once the dovii gets more settled the table will turn for the convict. And i think its a her not a him!

You think so? I want a male but not from the same place because of the chances of them being siblings. Males are most beastly. That’s what I want. Definitely won’t be in this 55g too long.

Yeah my opinion definitely a female. At 4" you should start seeing the male traits coming through.
