Girls just love playing with their angles. Lol
But she looks flared up aiding in the rounded head look. Generally they all look like Frankie’s to my eye, but that’s not always definitive, we would have to count scales to know for certain.

So she's sassy and not brassie is what you're saying.Girls just love playing with their angles. Lol

You've got some clear photos, I'll try to take some time tomorrow and give you a more supported opinion. Though if C Chicxulub can chime in it's be more valuable.Check out the other pics. She's not flared out. Fish neck.

I don't think you did give a comment, I still count 17 as I did when they were smaller... Its the front of the dorsal correct? Also I think this batch Wes had gotten from brazil. It was mentioned in the beginning of the thread that the location he got them from had to be frankie unless brassie was introduced by man to that location.I count 14-15 scales on every fish between the LL and the dorsal fin origin. This insinuates brassy, as does their more social behavior.
I don't even remember what opinion if any I gave of these in the past. Am I in agreement with myself, or have I flipped?
Thanks. Good enough for me. I have a Brassie unless moe proves me wrong. yepCapture locality becomes ever more unreliable for identification every year, as the fish are caught and intentionally vectored to new drainages in Brazil for the sake of bolstering the sport fishing industry.
An example of the research into this:

YOu could have a mix of both. I counted two pics that had a fish with 15-16 scales between the LL and dorsal fin insertion, which makes brassy; and several pics that had a fish with 14 scales, which could go either way. You definitely have at least one brasiliensis, but they may not all be.Thanks. Good enough for me. I have a Brassie unless moe proves me wrong. yep
