Can we see some photos of your tanks?
Gladly, I have some photos on my phone if someone can tell me the best way to upload!
There is a faq page on the website but it only seems to cover the white play sand. Also its pretty expensive there is a calculator, I used it to see how much of their floral sand was needed for a 2" depth on a standard 180 it said 190lbs. 25lb bag is $33.00 + $15 shipping/bag $48.00×8 (8×25=200) $384.
Cant find anything about what is used to color the sand or the colorfastness of it.
Ive emailed them in the past and I dont believe I got a response. It coulda gone to spam. In the mean time while waiting I did the math and decided it was to expensive to persue.
Would like to see pics as well and if anyone has used it for a while.
I know what you mean about the calculator...I purchased about 200lbs and was shocked when I put in around 80-90 and was done. This tells me there is a lot of space bewtween the grains (which supports the floral plant use) gving roots space for oxygen. I'll try to post up a demo showing the sand in a tube when I can. No issues with colorfastness so far...please follow the link I posted for the direct page for the floral sand. You can even just search "floral" on the site and it will come up.

Yes, please share pics. Also, how did you know this stuff was safe to use? What did they use to color the sand?
I researched the use of the sand and determined it safe...the floral sand is for plants with root systems and the play sand is safe for children. No issues whatsoever with the sand, the fish love digging in it.

Yeah I did. Then went searching for faqs. So I'm setting up a 75 shortly how much do you think I'd need? It will be planted.

For pics hit upload file and search your phone for the pic. Once it uploads hit full size.
For video above where im typing now is a film roll hit that but you have to have video hosted somewhere then attach ot to the space provided. I use utube with no issues.

Hi, based on what I discovered I'd say go half of what the calculator says and buy 1 extra 10lb box as insurance.

That's all I've ever used in my tanks is the Carib-sea torpedo beach.
How have you found maintenance a year in with Torpedo Beach? Does it keep clean with minimum cleaning. How is the color please after say a year.
