I just did a quick search of some of the online vendors im familiar with and couldnt find any available. Ive only seen them available once in the past few yrs by an mfk vendor. The fish had some bacterial infection and was never sold. Cool that he was an honest guy though
Not an easy fish to find, hatcheries are your best bet.

I thought i saw one available somewhere recently. Yeah they are hard to come by atleast for me. I think its one of those fish that when you see it, you buy it.

Atleast go wider than i did. Because of where the tank is i had to go 30 wide. Adding a foot or soo in depth shouldnt change the price that much its the length where things get pricey
I've been looking at a 300 like yours and I think a 375 which is 36" w. You can get a 36" w 300 but it's only 6' L.

Acrylic is so freaking expensive vs glass.

Actually its allot cheaper. Can you go 96 wide and 36 deep ? I wanted the tank to be at 3/4 inch thick panels. The glass quotes i got at 5/8 were actually more expensive. At 3/4 the glass price was ridiculous.

Unless you go with those marineland 300dd but i chose not to. Read a few reviews of the bottom panels separating

It just all depends on the space available in the new house.

300w glass is 2k (3/4 glass) vs acrylic for 3600. A 500w is 3500 glass. I've been looking used as well but this size is hard to come by

Wow where did you get quotes from ? I think i paid 2200 for the tank. The glass was close to 3500 at 3/4

Glass cages is the closest to me that I know of.
What about the acrylic. Yeah glass cages was pretty cheap but at the time they were getting some bad reviews. I forgot where i got the glass quote from. Dmd123 got his tank from them.

Check out truvu, fishtanksdirect, and modwestcustoms fpr acrylic

The acrylic was 3600 which is insane.

I just checked the 300w quote is actually 1600. The 375w was 2400.

Fishtankdirect, truvu are right at 2500 base for a 300w. They charge extra for overflows

3600 from who or acrylic?
Before you pull the trigger with glass cages do some research. Maybe they improved

I think fishtanksdirect does free shipping
