Add salt to the aquarium.
Is it possible that he tried to jump out and it hit something?

") Improving healing rates:
The most important thing is preventing infection of the problem area or wound in bad cases. Although it is not very common for such to occur, keeping the water clean is important. High amounts of salt is not necessary. Use it moderately at the right dosages, e.g. 0.5%.

I have heard this many times, but have yet to prove it. Some owners reported significantly improved healing speeds when the temperature of the water in the tank is increased (30 DegC). It may be due to an increased metabolism that the body of the fish repairs itself more quickly and also tends to eat more."

What other fish do you have in the aquarium with the Arowana?
Oscars and two angel fish we figured it was not an attack it looks like the aro rubbed onto something like the wooden branch display thing that we already took out

we thought of buying some meds for it to not develop fungi infection but we’ll try to put some salt first and observe. Looks like he rubbed onto the wooden branch display thing we already took out

You might try some Cattapa/almond leaves in your tank, they're believed by many to help the healing process (but only do this if your water is pretty hard with good buffer, otherwise they can lower your PH and other fish might not like it).
