My crew also sulk when they are offended by changes to tank decor or even a water change. Sometimes one of them will even refuse food... but not for long.

My oscars are super moody and will often refuse to eat should I dare to offened them. The babies are usually less likely to refuse a meal tho. Babies are busy growing and so tend to feed aggressively. My first concern would be water quality. Especially since they are being housed in tight quarters right now. Check your water parameters. 80-90% daily water change wouldn't be amiss

I have a very strong feeling you will be dealing with non stop issues going forward. That's far to long with a heavily overstocked tank to not have issues.

Nitrates will sore sky high and fish will because stressed and ill. Not to mention aggression issues are very likely given the small space with large fish. I suggest you think about you plan and figure out how you want to proceed.

I think you can get far more enjoyment out of this hobby with responsible stocking given your tank size.

The smart thing to would to be to rehome most of those fish and wait until you actually have adequate tank size for them. I’m not sure why you bought them before you even had a proper sized tank ready for them. Keeping them in the 10 gallon is not fair to the fish in many ways.
