Last week I had a job interview with a call center. I thought I done horribly, I was nervous, stuttered a lot during the "roll play" we did, accidentally used the word b*tch (oops!), I forgot to take my nose rings out and all!

I just got off the phone to the guy who runs the call center and... I got the job!!! My gosh I'm so excited and happy!!! Apparently I done really well in the interview, the guy liked my little vest and said I was "delightfully presented". My speech was clear, my eye contact good, apparently I seemed "very down to earth" so I got the job! He's gonna call me back Monday and give me proper details of my hours!

I'm so excited! I've been really down on myself since I lost my last job so this is an awesome confidence boost. SOMEONE HIRED ME!!! :D
Oh great, so it's going to be you I'm talking to next week. JK, Congrats!

Hahaha my dad said the same thing when I told him :D
Thanks!

Hello; Good for you on the job. Are you going to keep the nose ring?
Thanks! I'm stoked that they even gave me an interview let alone a job! :D

The company doesn't care about my nose rings (more than one ;)) or my lip rings - that was the first thing I asked - so I'll definitely be keeping them, and if I keep the job long term will likely get more. :D

Although, if I didn't know any better, I'd assume you don't approve of my nose rings? :p

Hello; Not so much not approving as I fail to see the charm. Not something I would do now for sure but maybe would not have done back in the dark ages of my youth. However I did do some of the fads back then. One main difference about the things now such as piercings and tattoos is these things are sorta permanent and hard to reverse. I had a DA haircut but no big deal to change it. I wore some of the clothes. Anyway go for it if it is important to you.

A story I recall. Back when a boy one of my grandparents kept pigs. I would feed them coal which I thought was funny but my grand pa did not. Got some whippings for that. I also would catch snakes and feed them to the pigs. Pigs like snakes. I also had to tend the fires when my grandma was rendering their fat and making soap. (Store bought soap is a fine thing.) Our pigs had nose rings back then. I think it was to keep them from rooting in the ground and getting out of their pen.

Haha my rings aren't in the center of my nose like bull rings, I have two in the right side of my nose. :)

Hello; Saw a story a few days ago. A young woman had her nose pierced. Got a staph infection from it in her blood and wound up be paralysed. Not sure if she will ever walk again.
Turns out around 30% of us have some staph bacteria in our nose which does not hurt unless it gets into the bloodstream.

I guess the piercings and tattoos have this sort of additional risk as well as being permanent. If you live long enough the body gets pierced and marked all on its own.
