Awesome log-like polys aside, that red sand looks great -- and it's probably the cleanest tank with substrate I've ever seen lol -- do you regularly siphon out the waste or use powerhead(s) to push it somewhere?

Franks tank is badass definitely a goal tank and to answer your question it's carefully placed powerheads If I remember correctly

No power heads and i never vacuum the substrate. Just drop the hose in and walk away. I tee'd off each return, placed them on opposite ends of the tank pointing towards each other. Water is forced down along the substrate and back up the sides right towards the overflows.

Only way i can explain it lol can post pics if you want
