I shut down my last African tank this week, sent them off to a friends fish room where they will live out their lives in his 270 gallon display tank. I got to thinking about all of the various African cichlids that I have kept over the years and started going though my HD for photos. I thought that I would share some of those here. Keep in mind the vast majority of these photos were taken with a $20 point & shoot. The fish looked a lot nicer in person. :)

One of the groups of fish my friend ended up with was some L. caeruleus "Ruarwe", which ended up being far more orange (in natural light) than they appeared in my tank. (due to white LED lighting) When they are mature, and have more size to them I'll have to update this thread. Stunning fish, I kind of hated to see them go, but they went to a great home. He also got a group of 8 wild caught S. lucipinnis, which also bred for me several times.

It was fun while it lasted ……
