They claimed they did but it's pretty clear it was outcompeted. They kept it in a tiny mesh container with an endli. That’s a thin lapradei. Did the lfs feed it?
That's what I figured. I will return it, it's only been in my care for 3 days now, I thought I'd be able to save itSorry to say this but i dont think it will make it. That lap had the worst condition ive seen, very underweight. How long you had it for? Can you return in the lfs?
My guess is that the lap had a huge shock on food, with its size we done know how long ago was its last meal. Having feed with tilapia is pretty heavy food and maybe its having a hard time digesting it.That's what I figured. Yeah that makes sense, I'll bring up the care of their animals while I'm there because it's pretty messed up to leave an animal in that conditionMy guess is that the lap had a huge shock on food, with its size we done know how long ago was its last meal. Thats a shame to see. They definitely didnt feed that fishThey claimed they did but it's pretty clear it was outcompeted. They kept it in a tiny mesh container with an endli.
It hasn't eaten today, but I don't believe it's parasitic since the stool it passed earlier was formed and brown, and it wouldn't really line up with the red blotches around its body. I don't want to use more meds than I need to with how weak this guy is. I think it went through way too much without its pectoral fins and only eating brine shrimp occasionally. Part of me wants to purchase the endli they have there to save it but they'll just order another one in. The quality of my LFS goes way downhill during the warmer months.I wonder how much of this could be related to internal parasites and/or malnutrition.
I would at least try dosing with a parasite med like general cure. Did it eat today ?
Good point about the stool. I didnt even notice the pectoral fins.It hasn't eaten today, but I don't believe it's parasitic since the stool it passed earlier was formed and brown, and it wouldn't really line up with the red blotches around its body.
