Baby kamfa flowerhorn

Just bought my first flowerhorn. Didn't want a super red dragon so decided on a kamfa. The one I bought is only about 1" so very small. Unsure if it's a red kamfa or green kamfa yet as it was imported from Thailand in a group of about 40. I watched the group for about an hour before deciding on this one, has the best body shape and most red eyes.
Was just wondering how long before I get the slightest incline if it's male or female and how long before it'll start to colour up so I know if it's a green or red?
Also, what does you guys feed your flowerhorns? This one's eating very small amounts of cichlid gold at the moment.

I feed a variety of pellets. I have a new pellet for each day. I feed some hikari, NLS, omega one. I would avoid most if not all flowerhorn branded foods. Try not to overfeed. Your better off underfeeding than overfeeding. Too know your fish is full it’s stomach at the end of the day should have a small bulge. For gender it should take couple months when the fish is about 3-5.

Brilliant. I'll get you a picture tomorrow when I'm back home. I've kept fish for about 15 years or so but never a flowerhorn so thanks for the advice. I've got everything crossed that I've got a male, not overly fussed is a green it red, but red is my preference
