My flowerhorn hasn't been eating for about 3 weeks now. She might be in depression but she hasn't been like this ever before, she has always been an active fish.
In the initial stage, she developed a little protrusion below her hump through which some white material was sticking out. We then contacted the guy from the fish shop and on his advice we treated her with 'Worm-out' fish deworming formula after which her white protrusion cleared out. But that didn't help further and so on his advice we next treated her with Amoxicilin 500mg and Metrogel 400; though she has been moving here and there but she hasn't eaten a bit in all this time.
Last night after watching numerous videos of fish deworming, we dewormed her using metrogel 400 tablet and today her condition seems to have worsened as some skin is peeling off from her hump.

We're in urgent need of help as she is critically ill and we all are very attached to her. Any help would be appreciated.

The initial white looks like a fungus for sure... the pic as of now looks like an injury... any other fish in HIS tank? Anything he could hurt himself on like something sharp? Look exact same as when my flowrrhorn got a chunk of his head torn off by a female lol... also as for what I would do? Big water change of 50% (match temp of tank water to new fresh water) and add salt (follow instructions givin from product purchased) and do a 25% every other day... also... don't touch him... don't turn on and off light and spend too much time intruding on him... it stresses them out... don't feed ANYTHING for a few days... don't even try...

Thanks for replying. He's in a much better shape now but still hasn't eaten in about a month. I've treated him for fungus and dropsy too and am hoping for a speedy recovery now
