Looks like my assumption was correct, his belly is definitely more full today. Not flat yet, but on a swift road to recovery. This is great news for me because this beast has quickly become my favorite. I thought he’d fight with my other plecos, specifically my aggressive red fin blue eye, but that must have ended already, the red fin keeps his distance. A actually caught the bright eyed royal hanging out with his blue eyed buddy earlier but spooked him when I rushed in to get the photo! I’d post the belly photo but I keep getting too much glare. I’ll bore whoever is looking at this with the buddy shot instead! This is right as the Royal was moving away:

Sorry for the dirty glass! The blue eye’s belly has come completely back and he’s doing very well in this tank! I’ve yet to see him eat any veggies but I frequently place cucumber and broccoli in the tank over night. Between him, the loaches, and the two royals, something is eating it because it’s always gone in the morning. I’ve found broccoli to be a favorite of even the most picky plecos. However, there’s PLENTY of evidence of his wood feast! Just placed some java fern in the tank so hopefully he doesn’t bulldoze it too bad tonight!

Canada eh
Wow great score. Love the new panaque.

Once again looks like we have another tank (almost) clone. I have a tank with clown loaches, flagtail, and plecos.

That panaque is sick! I've been thinking about looking for one once I save up. What have you been feeding him?

My tank is exclusively decorated with driftwood and he’s been munching on that over night. I place veggies in the tank a couple times a week that I’ve never seen him actually eat, but between the loaches and other plecos, it’s gone by morning. I also feed sinking pellets for the geos and clown loaches that he may or may not clean up at night.

However, he’s definitely eating SOMETHING because the belly has filled back out since bringing him home.

He eats carrot!! Just tried this today and saw him eating during the day finally. I scared him back to his spot on the back glass after I snapped the pics but I can definitely say he has been seen eating carrot!214CB874-0346-4E9D-98CC-8D93D303F147.jpegE71153CD-E105-48AD-8B3F-7274AFF4094D.png

I will definitely have to try this with my guys! They prefer pellets over zucchini and potatoes so maybe carrots will do the trick.
