Not sure if anyone has posted this before but I just came across this Monster Fish Care Sheet, which Aqueon has on their website (https://www.aqueon.com/information/care-sheets/monsterfish).

It's pretty limited in scope (both species and care wise, e.g. no mention of diet or water parameters), but it does have some of the more popular/common tank busters, their potential size and what they feel is a suitable size tank for the fish at about full adult size. Note I can neither attest to nor defend the accuracy of all their info, but provide it for member comments and possible reference.

Interesting, "up to" will always be subjective in this hobby, and while I can't say that all of the species info listed is accurate, some certainly are, and I am glad to see the hobby heading in this direction. Too many people asking "what is the minimum" that I can keep fish xyz in.

I would have never thought that a red bellied piranha could get up to 20", but apparently they can.

Neil, we have just had this article discussed in its own thread. Those are centimeters, not inches, on the ruler. Small lines are millimeters, ten per a centimeter. Don't make me fall back to the beer explanations.

Yet, the journalist also uses Fahrenheit for the degrees. Go figure. That's one multi-versed journalist.

Lmao, oops. Thanks Victor, one my greatest pet peeves in life is when Canada went metric. Nothing funner for me than fixing parts on some over engineered design where both metric and imperial nuts and bolts were used. At least I have yet to be forced to speak French. Lol
