Sick peacock bass

My peacock bass has been acting super funny for the past 2 days, he has been sitting at the bottom and today I noticed a white spot on his eye, it definitely looks like a parasite of some sort just wondering if anybody knows what I can use to treat him

There are no other tank mates
My test kits are reading 0ppm ammonia, about 2 or 3 ppm nitrate, 0ppm nitrite, and I just noticed my ph is running low at about 6. It’s usually at around 6.5

And also I just noticed that it’s on his other eye now too

Usually from my experience with bass high percentage of time it’s water parameters or you have too much detritus in your canister or sump. How frequently do you do water changes? How much? Size of grow out tank? Type of filtration? Temp? Clean water will heal those eyes super quick. I would add salt as well

I clean my hang on the back filter every 2 weeks, he is about 6.5 inches and he’s in a 75 growout until my pond is fully set up, I do water about 25% changes every week. Today I noticed that it spread to his other eye as well.. I’m not sure if it’s injury or fungal infection or maybe even parasite

Looks to be injury. Don’t look fungal or parasitic. Agree with the others above.

I would increase water change from 25% a week to 75-80% 2 times a week until those eyes clear up, but as regular maintenance I would increase volume of water changes to 80% a week minimum. If you do a large water change I’m sure you will see improvement the next day.

Thank you so much! Did a large water change yesterday and his eyes are already starting to clear up today, he’s still sitting on the bottom though unfortunately. I’m gonna continue doing this until i see full recovery! Thanks again!
