I’d imagine yes but long term I just don’t see many members with fully grown adults.
Thanks again for the reply. Since they are relatively cheap in my area (compared to NTT and other species), I will probably take a gamble with the silver. I've just read the thread by
thebiggerthebetter
and the white cottony growth on them. It seems due to stress, the datnoids will develop this more frequently in freshwater than brackish. If my tank has relatively low stress and a lot of plants, I am hoping that the silver does not develop the disease. I am probably going to keep it 100% fresh since I really want my plants to thrive. Also do you think the white cottony stuff common on silvers will spread to other fish? I'm okay with having to deal with the parasite, but do not want my other inhabitants to contract it. Overall, do you think I should give full freshwater silvers a try or scratch the idea as a whole. Thanks so much! You've been a lot of help!
