Does aft every stop being so skittish when they are bigger?

Some do, some don't. Typically if an individual settles down, it'll be at about the time of sexual maturity, which is in the ball park of 12" or so for most species. My personal hypothesis to explain this is that at that size their niche changes from basically a baitfish to a mesopredator in their habitat.

Those are either batf or vatf. My guess would be batf. Grow it a bit more. I may be wrong. We'll see.

Those are something in the VATF complex. Grow it out a bit.
