Outdoor Monster Aquarium

anyone has any experience keeping big tanks outdoors (around 300-500 gallons)? the weather where i'm living is quite tropical so i was wondering if i could use an aquarium chiller to tone the temperature down to around 26 to 27 degrees for my arowana.I know arowanas like to jump so i'm worried that it will hit its head on the lid of the aquarium during heavy rains and smth that like.
I have drapes in my patio so direct sunlight won't be a problem.

What is the highest temperature and lowest temperature during the season's? I'm asking to find out if a chiller is necessary.

The temperature rangest from around 27-31 degrees during the day and around 24 during nights.

Both my tanks are outside, and are connected, together they total a bit over 300 gallons.
Because one is heaviily planted with aquatic and terrestrial vegetation (and is shaded by a patio roof) , algae has yet to become a problem. (The 180 has been set up outside for about 2 years, the adjoining 125 was just added).
The only ripple I've had, is frequent small earth quakes here have created regular leaks in the 180, slightly separating seams.
I have tried to repair the major leaker twice without success, another shaker comes along and there we go again.

The temperature rangest from around 27-31 degrees during the day and around 24 during nights.

75° to 84° fahrenheit is normal. I've read that 86° was tolerable if it's a Silver Arowana.
