I enjoyed Lost at first, but it started to get really far out silly for me. It went from gripping to almost unwatchable.

After life is brilliant, but then again I love anything with Ricky Gervais in. Have you ever watched "extras" by him? It's quite old now but I keep revisiting it. I've yet to see fleabag but I've heard good things about it.
Really crazy now. Still very interesting, but I do miss when it was just a survivor show.

The walking dead did exactly the same imo. First few seasons were great and then they seemed to run out of ideas and it started getting a bit boring and silly. I made it to season 5 and left it at that, but sometime in the future I might give walking dead another go.

I have not seen extras, I recon it’s worth a shot even if it is old…we are quickly running out of things to watch lol

the actress that plays fleabag is one of my favourites, she did well with the role!

we keep re-watching it’s always Sunny in Philadelphia

I'll put fleabag on my to watch list.

You'll love extras. Each episode is a stand alone show, it's not like a series with a story going on where you need to watch them all in order to get what's going on.

Basically Gervais and his female friend are downtrodden extras trying to find bits of work on movies. Each episode has a famous actor/actress in them and each episode is written by Gervais in a way that totally takes the piss out of the famous person in the show. And the famous people are totally up for having themselves belittled.

Start off by watching the episode with Kate Winslet in it. Winslet is brilliant. The show gained that much popularity that by the end of the first series famous people were ringing up Gervais asking if they could be in it!

Gervais is a comedy genius, I can't rate his work high enough. You and your fella will love it, I assure you.

I've seen that. The ones I quoted in my post are just a brief selection off the top of my head, I could add dozens of others that I've watched over the years.
Hey have you seen The Captain on Netflix?

I'm looking forward to reading your review.
I can't find this film anywhere on Netflix. Maybe the choices are different depending on what country you're from. I'm a bit gutted really because the reviews I've read on it are good. Hopefully we'll get it in the UK soon.

I watched "lone survivor" instead with Mark Wahlberg. It's a true story. I've seen it before but it was well worth a second visit.

I'm sure it's been mentioned here before, but I've been watching this show called "Dark Side of the Ring" on Vice-- it centers around the seedy underbelly of the professional wrestling industry and episodes usually focus around one particular wrestler or event. When it centers around an individual, it often has to do with said wrestler's struggles drug abuse/mental illness/family issues/etc, but sometimes gets even darker. I've never been a big fan of pro wrestling myself, but I find this program rather interesting. My favorite episodes so far have to be the ones about Chris Kanyon, Chris Benoit, and Grizzly Smith-- the latter is probably the most disturbing of all. That guy was one sick mf. There are also some spinoff shows, one is about football and the other is about the 1990s in general.

Darkside is in it's second season and the episode The Plane Ride From Hell has already resulted in one wrestler losing his job due to statements regarding a colleague he's made during the show.
