How would it have gotten the parasite? Are you saying it's had it since you bought it?
That's likely the case if it was never pre-emptively treated for quarantine. Was just unaffected until the immune system was compromised enough from poor water quality allowing the parasite to take over.

Could be stressed or just fading. Check the water parameters.

Take a better photo amigo, impossible to tell from your photos. If you feel this may be a case of Hexamita aka spironucleus, and your fish is still eating, I would highly recommend feeding NLS Hex-Shield, exclusively, twice a day for 3-5 days.
