Need suggestions for my first planted tank

Save for terrestrial houseplants, I am completely new to having plants in a tank, and was consequently rather overwhelmed with the sheer variety of choices (probably 20+ options) of live plants for sale at my local Big Al's. So because I can't choose, I have a question to MonsterFishKeepers with planted tanks: what plants do you think would look nice in my 110 liter?

There's already a camboba (just bought it on Friday) and 2 moss balls (that came with it when I got it on Reddit), but like I said, I cannot decide just what else to get. Final plant density is planned to be something along the lines of this, so feel free to hit me up with a whole bunch of suggestions!

Some nice, easy beginner plants are:
Anubias
Java fern
Hornwort
Val and Amazon sword (needs higher light and root tabs)
Ludwigia
Salvinia (giant duckweed)
And plenty of others that I am forgetting about at the moment.

+1 to the suggestions given.
Sometimes, and as somebody in this site wisely stated, the plants that are easiest for somebody’s tank, don’t work for others and viceversa.
I suggest to go to websites such aquarium plants.com and trópica, and search for ‘beginner plants’, ‘low/medium light plants’ and jot down some names of plants you like (write down several). Then, hit a good store with a plan and try to find some of those.
Describe better your 110. What types of substratum, what lights, what fish. Not all are equally suitable.
I would dismiss suggestions of high light plants at first, and also anything that implies using CO2. You have a life time later to wonder about that….or not.
Seachem Fluorish (fertilizer) and root tabs are your friends, and often are key to success beginning a new planted tank.

My suggestion is to look on local classified adds for people selling off their surplus plants as you will usually find them cheaper.

I regularly sell of vals, limnophila sessofrilla, hygrophilia polysperma, hornwort, crypts, i toss duck weed in the garbage ?

Anubis plants are super easy but expensive to fill a tank.

Just try some cheap plants and see what works in your tank

I don’t mind making a few extra bucks off my plants to help cover the cost of foods.

And I’m a pleco lover, I’m in the process of kicking out all my cichlids (minus the angelfish) and making room for more plecos haha

Thanks so much to everyone for all the suggestions, tips and good wishes! I suppose a more in depth description of the 110 would be a good idea, as FJB suggested, since what the fish, aquascape, etc are have an impact on the plants too.

-Substrate: sand of a few cm. Not sure if it is pool or play sand as it came with the tank, but I have access to pool sand I can add if any plants I choose need more sand depth than what I have.
-Fish (both existing and planned): neon, green neon, rummynose tetras, marbled hatchetfish, dwarf chain loaches. Should be plant safe (since they're carnivorous) and shouldn't have an issue with the lights the plants need (since they're diurnal).
-Lighting: Appears to be LED. Not something I bought so I'm unsure of the specifics, but although not the brightest light I have seen, it is still reasonably bright.

I will be shying away from those really high-tech, high-light CO2 plants aswell, since as FJB also points out there is plenty of time to decide.

The websites and plant products like fertilizer and root tabs mentioned by FJB should also come in handy. Good to get more specific ideas, etc.

As per the suggestions by Niki_up and Fishman Dave, I imagine I'd be able to find large amounts of fast growers for rather cheap on my local classifieds. That will go a long way.

Finally Deadeye has given a pretty wide range of choices, lots of variety. Some of those should be available on those classifieds.

Just got 15 fairly good-sized hornwort clippings off my local classifieds! When I finish the whitespotted treatment, I'll weight them, plant them, and share some pictures.

Good luck with planting it. I never had luck with it buried, it would always either die towards the bottom or get uprooted for me. Eventually I decided just to leave it as a floater. Looks great either way and the fish love it.
