Fire Eel gasping for air and has white 'ulcers'

Thank you all, my eel didn't make it ]: It died last night, I was checking it every couple of hours. I am going to purchase some Maracyn to have on hand just in case something like this happens again!
Attached is one of the two I currently own. They are not scaleless as you might assume. It reminds me of a snakes scale. Lol see how her body is full of dings and dents i cannot have her stay still alot of times to take a clearer marco shot (im an noob with tech) thats why I have to do constant water changes so her skin doesnt get infected. I don't think I've ever gotten that close to my eels. They just live in their caves. That's very cool!

Am very sorry about your eel. Some people have better luck with keeping other species of spiney eels but not a fire eel. Its a hit and miss fish IMO: i hand feed mine since day one when they were wrigglers to make sure they were are eating they are used to a human and will beg like a dog for more food
