I assume you are speaking of swimming, as a fish normally would, horizontally or at a slight angle in current mid water column. Correct me if I am wrong.

I am talking vertical, head down, in a corner, mid depth.
Ahh. I see. Most unusual, let’s hope there’s not an underlying issue. Can’t say I’ve observed mine doing the same.

3 more came in for me.
Including a very unusual one, that I was given for free! Due to its paint brush tail. Unlike the normal forked tail. I’ve tried my best to capture a quick picture, I’m sure in time I shall capture it abit better.

Managed to entice him out of the wood with some pellet. Managed to catch a short video to show the tail.
Bottom picture is of normal lithodoras, from the same batch.
Passed details to the dark one, (S.grant) for some insight. He’s doing some digging.

Pictures of the largest.

I’ve recently noticed the larger one has had a random black spot appear on it body. It seems to be slowly growing, I first noticed it the size of a pin head. Secretly
Hoping it turns black all over !
I shall monitor it for now and seek advice if it continues to expand, incase it’s a potential issue. Mostlikely a birth mark.

Had a bad storm over in the uk a couple of weeks back. Power outages. I was away for work. Rushed back, but to no avail. Lost all of my big doradides. No power for 48hours, fortunately the dog Walker text me to let me know the power was out. Some how the piriampus and l.Pictus survived along with the large group of mylasomma. But I did end up losing 5 cats in total.
I’ll re evaluate stocking in the future and maybe get my hands on some more, but for now. I’ll keep with the two cats I have left.
