LFS says they were imported from Asia but farmed in Russia, but not really sure how accurate that is.Where was it found?
Thank you for the ID help and information. Only thing is that I feel is that the nose shape seems to be off to be a sterlet, based off online photos and videos.Probably a Sterlet, Sterlets are the main imported sturgeon and I think they are bred in Russia. Sterlets grow to about a meter in length, not hard to keep but need a big tank.
IT could be Siberian sturgeon-acipenser baeri, which is quite common.Sterlet -ACIPENSER RUTHENUS could be another option. Can anyone confirm what species of sturgeon this is? Thanks in advance.

Mine Sterlet was only 42 cm long after 4 years in aquarium. But Siberian sturgeon could reach 50 cm or more in aquarium.Probably a Sterlet, Sterlets are the main imported sturgeon and I think they are bred in Russia. Sterlets grow to about a meter in length, not hard to keep but need a big tank.
