Most Aggressive cichlids Top 15

I don't know if that is a flowerhorn or Trimac but know they are on a different level of aggression compared to African Cichlid.
I wonder how old that vid was and if those Buttikoferi are still alive.
Yea that vid is like a decade old, and that tank looks really small for those fish.

Looks like a Flowerhorn with them. I also seen a video with a grown Flowerhorn beating the crap out of a grown Buttikoferi. I did try to find it again, no luck.

Of all the fish I owned, I'd say a Red Devil is the most aggressive. Pound for pound, it'd probably be a convict. If they got the size of dovis, we'd have a new apex predator in the hobby.

For sheer aggression and viciousness, pound-for pound my vote goes with the male Auratus cichlid but they only grow to about 5 inches. If full grown adults of all the species listed are housed together, the Dovii easily kills every fish on this list. An adult Dovii would also quickly dispatch any adult piranha.

Of course a Dovii would be in trouble if he tried to lip lock an adult Piranha, but that is highly unlikely. 99.9% of the time the enormous Dovii would ram it and bite it, removing huge chunks with each bite. The Piranha would respond by dying or if it was lucky by fleeing from the scene.
