Hey all,

I am currently trying to connect the python siphon to my faucet and am having trouble. I am wondering if any plumbing people or people with knowledge on faucets can tell me if this kind of faucet allows me to connect a siphon to it. I am in a college dorm if that makes any differences.

Figuring this out would make water changes significantly easier :)

Thanks,
Ray

Try spinning the faucet rim. It should come off and you’ll see that’s where the screen is. Leave it off and screw on the adapter to faucet

That thing unscrews; it has to, in order to allow cleaning or changing the aerator screen. Once you have it off, you can attach the adapter directly, or you might have to go to the Home Depot and snoop around the 500 different adaptors they have for the one you want.

If you're in a dorm, isn't there a slop sink in the janitor's closet? That will probably have a threaded faucet on it that might be easier to attach to. That's what I used when I lived in a university dorm many years ago; running the hose down a hallway littered with drunken partying students was always fun.

Hey thanks for the input. I will get a wrench tom and give it a shot. Not sure how close the janitors closet is to my dorm and already prob going to get a violation for having a tank bigger than a 10 in my tiny dorm room so prob gonna test my luck with the wrench’s bd call it a day. Thank you for your input as always John :)

Be careful with the pressure, I use my pythons outside now because it blew out something on my bathroom sink and caused a leak. That’s as detailed as I can be since I know jack about plumbing
