What's that white thing called?Okay, I think it's official: pacu mom has the most gorgeous backyard view of any of us!
We've had a weird fall; cold/warm, snow/rain, over and over. The beginning of deer season was pretty much ruined by a ridiculous warm front that hit us the day before the opener...but by the end of the first week we got a beautiful dump of snow and had a great season.
Oddly for us, we have had several more extreme weather swings since then. This morning when I took Duke for his walk down the road, the fog was so thick that we quickly turned back; too dangerous to walk along the road. But the cold temps, well below zero, led to condensation on every surface, producing an effect that I always love to see:

It's tough to capture the effect in a pic...or at least it's tough for me!...but the white crystalline "fur" on every twig and branch creates a magical effect.
It also turns the roads into skating rinks, so this is best appreciated by retirees who don't need to get to work.
Beautiful pics! Why is it that I am suddenly very cold?Okay, I think it's official: pacu mom has the most gorgeous backyard view of any of us!
