Many folks on MFK keeping tandans?
Currently got 5 species:
0.0.1 Neosilurus ater
0.0.2 Neo. Hyrtli
0.0.2 Porochilus rendahli
0.0.1 Por. Obbesi
0.01 Tandanus Tandanus

I’ll have to have a go with the camera bit later but here’s a crappy phone pic of the ater. Pushing 18cm now

I just pick up 4 neosilurus hyrtlii after your recommendation, very awesome fish. So playful and active except they keep pulling out my fragile plants.

Do the hyrtii sometimes come all black? I have 3 with silver bodies and yellow tails but one is dark grey/black. Is it sexual dimorphism or just random colouration?

The hyrtls can go dark and can go fully golden yellow but haven’t really seen one all black. Chuck a pic might have a different species. You’re in WA yeah?

They grow a bit bigger 47cm instead of 30cm. Weird how it plays with the hyrtli like they are the same species. I guess it’s cool I got 2 types.
