U may grow to enjoy it… some are very active. They are also great sand sifters/substrate cleaners. Hope it works out for u long term. One of my favorite fish to keep.
So far it's been pretty active and I can certainly see that happening. I'll try to get some better pictures tomorrow

Sounds like Hao Hao is correct with his ID of aethiopicus. IME they are the most active. They really don’t start turning against tank mates until 24”-30” range. Even tho they can hit 5’ you could potentially keep one for life in ur 210. They don’t need that much room but the tank would be maxed out for sure. Anxious to see some better pics 💀🤙… best case scenario it is a WAL and ur looking at 30” range with the possibility of tank mates instead of a 4’ plus glass banging monster lol…

Here are some additional pictures I just took. There is some glare from the window but I hope this can help with identification.

Hao Hao for the win 💀💪… aethiopicus/marbled lung. If u end up keeping him ur in for a treat lol… could still go either way for tolerance of tank mates. I keep mine with a school of giant danios in a 450g. Thats all he cant catch tho. Also haven’t tried much with him either knowing what hes capable of.

Hilarious I just picked up my younger kids from school and told them how big the marbled lungfish gets and they immediately said would it eat her 15 lb Jack Chi dog ...I said probably. Then I showed these pics and they're eyes lit up and jaws dropped. Amazing fish!

Yeah marbled lungfish are generally the African lungfish that you’ll see in communities. I’ve heard people say their success comes from keeping the lungfish well fed but from my experience, lungfishes are always hungry so it’s kind of hard to stay on top of keeping it full all the time. Like wednesday13 wednesday13 said, given how big/massive they can get, they can potentially do serious damage to other fish with just a “minor” bite. Personally, I wouldn’t be able to sleep in peace keeping tankmates with them. Probably would be too paranoid. 😂

Thanks and appreciate it all the responses and patience with my initial crappy pics!
